Miss Kirsten, January Team Member of the Month

One of the newest members of Bubbles Academy is Operations Manager Kirsten. In the few months since her arrival, Kirsten has rallied our team together, creatively introduced new procedures and displayed an admirable commitment to providing families with the very best Bubbles Academy experience.

Not to mention, Miss Kirsten is a fantastic fashionista (if she were a Spice Girl, she’d definitely be Posh)!

We are beyond charmed to welcome her to the fold and are very pleased to recognize her as the January Team Member of the Month. Here’s what Kirsten had to say at her congratulatory Q&A …

What was one of your favorite pastimes as a child?

I grew up in California (northern San Francisco area) and was very much a dancing dreamer. A summer day may include choreographing a new dance routine with my best friend Kimmy, painting my collection of pet rocks and looking for salamanders by the nearby brook.

When playing make believe, what occupation would you pretend to be?

I had aspirations to become a marine biologist or a veterinarian. I’ve always loved animals and had a habit of persuading my mom to “rescue” as many animals as possible. The birds in our yard were always well fed thanks to my bird feeders, and today, my husband and I’s pet dog Petunia is both well fed and very well loved.

What do you enjoy most about working at Bubbles Academy?

It’s without a doubt, an infinitely fun place to spend your day! Even from my welcome spot at the Front Desk, I am able to witness the tremendous growth of our students. By the end of a session, our shy friends are smiling and giving high-fives when they walk through the door!

What do you take pleasure in outside of Bubbles Academy?

I’m a company member of two tap companies in Chicago, Chicago Tap Theatre and Cartier Collective. Since the age of two, I’ve adored the free form and rhythmic nature of tap dance.

When off the dance floor, I enjoy spending time with my husband and any time spent on the beach (we got married on the beach, which made for the most memorable day ever). I’m always game for some cards — solitaire (if I’m going solo), speed and rummy!
